How to Use This Calculator
Formula: Dose per administration = (mg per kg) × (Child's weight in kg)
Weight conversion: Weight in kg = Weight in lbs / 2.205
Example: A 20 kg child receiving acetaminophen (15 mg/kg) would get 300 mg per dose. If dosed every 6 hours (4 times daily), the total daily dose would be 1,200 mg.
