BTU Calculation Method

Base Formula: BTU = Length × Width × 20

Apply adjustments for climate, sun exposure, insulation, height, occupants, and kitchen

Multipliers: Climate (0.9-1.15) × Sun (0.9-1.10) × Insulation (0.85-1.20) × (Height / 8)

Additions: +600 BTU per person, +4000 BTU for kitchen

Important: Oversizing can cause short cycling and inefficiency. Undersizing won't cool effectively. Consult an HVAC professional for precise sizing.
